Course Overview

The course will provide opportunities for delegates to consider their role in the working environment and offer a range of tools and techniques improving their performance in non-technical skills. Extensive use of advanced Kongsberg simulators gives the delegates opportunities to practice and demonstrate the bridge resource management skills that are developed throughout the course.

Target group

This course complies with the requirements set by IMO´s STCW code and applies to all bridge officers and is mandatory for the certificates beyond 2017.

Course relevance

In accordance with the 1978 STCW convention with amendments, A-II/1, A-II/2, A-III/1, A-III/2, A-III/6, A-VIII/1, and A-VIII/2 in addition to the Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA) regulation FOR 2011-12-22 No 1523: Regulations on qualifications and certificates for seafarers and subject plan of NMA dated 29.01.2015.

The course provider and the course facilities are in compliance with STCW 1978 with amendments, A-I/6,  A-I/8 and  A-I/12.
