Course Overview

In accordance with Part A Section A-II/4 of the Standard of Training Certification and Watch keeping (STCW Convention) for seafarers as amended which established the mandatory minimum requirement for certification ratings as able seafarer forming part of navigational watch at the support level on board a ship/vessel

Course Delivery

Using a combination of experienced lectures/instructors, classroom syndicate exercises interactive activities and practical demonstrations

Entry Qualification

Candidates must posses a five (5) credit pass and must be no less than 18 years of age while those registering for the (CNS) Program are required to have at least no less than 18 months seat term experience

Course Duration

Two semesters covering a total of fourteen week each semester including examination period.
